Over the break, I took some time to reflect on 2024 and all that we accomplished. We saw record engagement from new members, with 87% of the 2024 cohort joining the association. Milestone reunions had strong attendance, we expanded interstate with new chapter groups in Sydney and Melbourne, and our refreshed events calendar, particularly the Networking Series, drew record numbers. Plus, we secured a fantastic new venue for our Annual Lunch at Optus Stadium. It was a standout year, and I want to thank everyone who contributed to making it such a success.
Looking ahead, 2025 promises to be even bigger. We have exciting networking events, reunions, a new venue for the Golf Day, a new Annual Lunch initiative, and the celebration of 110 years of CCGS boarding.
The OBA remains dedicated to fostering connections across all generations of Old Boys, and I encourage you to get involved, by attending an event for the first time, mentoring a younger alumnus, or simply reconnecting with your peers.
Before I sign off, I am pleased to announce an upcoming collaboration between the School and the Old Boys’ Association - further details will be shared soon.
I look forward to seeing you throughout 2025!
